Sorry that I did not mentioned. I have already tried using the color palette from that website.
I also compare the RGB_Values in ocean_temp.spk file from website with the ocean_temp.spk file in "/ferret/ppl" folder.
They are same. So, I think, may be the RGB mapping for palette is wrong in these files.
Following are the RGB_values in spk file.
-2.0 80.0 0.0 100.0
0.0 30.0 20.0 100.0
10.0 0.0 60.0 30.0
20.0 100.0 100.0 0.0
30.0 100.0 0.0 0.0
35.0 60.0 0.0 0.0
Could someone confirm whether these values are wrong/right?
If right, then what could possibly be going wrong with colors?
Following is the result of using ocean_temp color palette, which is wrong.
<ocean_temp.gif>

Dear Ferret Users,
Somehow ocean_temp color palette is not plotting colors that it should.
I need new spk file for ocean_temp palette.
Could someone please send me ocean_temp.spk color palette?
It's easy to do so, but I recommend you give the Google search a try!
A Google search with "ocean_temp.spk" gave me this super useful website:
