Hi Saurabh, Paulo and Martin,
Thanks so much for your help, I could save it without any problems using that command.
Kind regards,
Estanisalo
Estanislao,
Use a repeat loop and save/append... eg:
repeat/l=2191:4380 ( save/append/file=normal.nc sossheig )
You also might want to control if the data is to be saved in single or double precision ( http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/documentation/users- )guide/commands-reference/SET#_ VPINDEXENTRY_setlist_outtype
Cheers,
Paulo

I have I heavy nc file (5.3 GB) where I want to select an interval and save in a new nc file in order to make it lighter. But It excess the memory setting. I have tried to adjust the memory but it is never enough. I am using this command.
SAVE/FILE=normal.nc/L=2191:4380 sossheig
Is there any alternative way to save this file or avoid this error?
Thanks so much for your time.
Kind regards,
