Hi Madhaven,
A good way to make symbols at particular locations on a plot is the "go polymark" script. Here is a demo that shows how to call it: http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/
Ferret/documentation/ferret- polymark-demo
The demo shows stars and squares, but the script can be called with a variety of shapes. Type
yes? go/help polymark
to see a the documentation that is at the start of the script. It lists the shapes that are available.

Dear Ferret users,
I am trying to indicate 2 stations as a filled circle symbol on the map (attached) but unable to display on my output. For this I tried sym=dot (script and input file attached). Please let me know if any mistake I am doing in the script.
Actually, I want to include the following stations as symbols:Barrow: 71.3N, 156.6 ENy-Ålesund: 78.9 N, 11.9 E
Can anyone suggest onhow to display light shade grid lines (lat-lon) in the map?
Any other suggestion for better representation is welcome.
Thanking you in advanceMadhavan
