!!!!!!!!!!!!!   u_anm and w_anm are the anomalies of zonal and vertical wind.
use u_anm.nc
use w_anm.nc

!!!!!!!!!!!!!   stored them in u and w variable for lets say first time steps (l=1)
let uu1=u_anm[d=1, l=1]
let ww1=w_anm[d=2, l=1]

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  averaging it for 10S to 10N latitude
vector/x=30E:75W/col=1/nolab/nokey uu1[y=-10:10@ave], -100*ww1[y=-10:10@ave]

NOTE :-   you should have data of zonal (U) wind and vertical wind (W) at each pressure level from 1000 hpa to 100 hpa e.g. era_interim data for pressure levels.
