Re: [ferret_users] WRF output negative values

Thanks all
the negative values disapeared
but there is alot of noise in the spatial distribution of rainfall;
look how the plot becomes very nasty
how can i reduce this

This how I do it
yes?let rainT=rainc+rainnc
yes? fill/k=273/hlim=22:54/vlim=-12:25/levels=(0,120,15)(inf) rainT, xlong,xlat
yes? go land 1 "" 1
yes? frame/file=test.gif

hi,
You can use the /LEVELS qualifier to customize the contour levels on any Ferret plot.
http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/documentation/users-guide/customizing-plots/CONTOURING#_VPINDEXENTRY_852

 Here are a couple of syntax examples

yes? ! use variance-based levels, with the smallest being 0
yes? fill/levels=v,0min wrf

yes? ! use levels from 0 to 105 with a delta of 15,
yes? ! and any larger data represented by a single color
yes? fill/levels=(0,105,15)(inf) wrf
