You may try @DDC (centered derivative) transformation:

If you want the vertical gradient of a variable, do:

wind_gradient = wind[z=@ddc]

Hi,

I need to calculate a gradient of a variable, but I have no idea how to do that.

e.g.: wind_gradient=(wind(time,height+1)-wind(time,height))
