[ferret_users] Trying to install PyFerret

Hi,

I'm a ferret user and am now trying to install PyFerret (in particular, for the latest graphics capabilities). I followed the instructions here http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/documentation/pyferret/build-install/ and have extracted the environment and executable files. When I run Finstall, however, I get the following error:

  Renamed existing $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths.csh
               to $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths.csh.old

 Created $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths.csh

 Renamed existing $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths.sh
               to $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths.sh.old

 Created $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths.sh

 Renamed existing $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths
               to $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths.old

 Created $HOME/pyferret/ferret_paths
     as a link to ferret_paths.csh
sed: can't read $HOME/ferret/bin/pyferret_template: No such file or directory

 Unable to create $HOME/ferret/bin/pyferret

The renaming part of the message has to do with this being my second attempt to install PyFerret.

Has anyone run into this problem before, or know how to sort this out? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much,
Nandini
