Golla,
Some 15 years
ago I wrote a simple script to thicken the PostScript lines of Ferret output:
http://www.gfdl.noaa.gov/~atw/ferret/ps_thickenThis just automates what Matt suggested.
Karl is currently testing some PyFerret enhancements that will enable us to
set the thickness of
any
line
(including axes & labels)
in
real-world
"points"
(1/72 inch)
rather than
screen
pixels
. Similarly, the window dimensions will be explicitly specified in real-world inches (as well as screen pixels). This will enable us to
print
on paper exactly what we see
in the Ferret window
.
There will also be an option to thicken all lines in a window by a single factor -- making the above script obsolete.
