[ferret_users] Re: Computing annual seasonal averages

Hi,
In your DEFINE AXIS command to set up the seasonal axis, make sure you include the /CALENDAR=NOLEAP qualifier. Then bot the original axis and the seasonal axis will have that calendar type and the regridding operation should work fine.

Hi Ansley and All,

I am using the method as described by Ansley in http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/maillists/tmap/ferret_users/fu_2008/msg00603.html to calculate the seasonal averages.

However my data is on NOLEAP calendar axis and I receive the following error:
**ERROR: regridding: only @ASN, @LIN, or @NRST regridding between calendar types: NOLEAP, GREGORIAN

Is there no way of doing the seasonal average keeping the NOLEAP calendar or do I have have to change the time axis of my data?

Thanks for your help,
Sulagna
