Re: [ferret_users] JJAS climatology
Hi -
If what you want to do is to pick out just the summer season, an example
showing that is in this FAQ, on creating seasonal masks:
http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/faq/creating-seasonal-masks
Or, here's an FAQ about climatologies.
http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/faq/how-do-i-calculate-climatologies-and-climatological-anomalies
It shows how to compute a monthly climatology, but the process is the
same for a seasonal one. You'll notice that when you open the
climatological_axes datset, a seasonal climatological axis SEASONAL_REG,
is set up for you:
yes? USE climatological_axes
*** NOTE: regarding
/home/users/tmap/ferret/linux/go/climatological_axes.cdf ...
*** NOTE: Climatological axes SEASONAL_REG, MONTH_REG, MONTH_IRREG,
MONTH_GREGORIAN, MONTH_NOLEAP, MONTH_360_DAY defined
