In fact I thought of it, but how to do it ?

why dont you try saving period and respective amplitudes at each depth. You can then  do your plotting eaisly.  This may not be the best method though.

this script only creates period as variable, then someone can do a line plot of "ffta vs per" for a particular depth. But "/vs " command is not applicable, when you try to use fill option.

Please let me know if this script can be modified to suit the purpose.

Subject: [ferret_users] fill ffta with respect to period

Dear all,

I have a current data over the water column at a particular station. To understand the period present in this time series, what I did as the following:

let fftv=ffta(v)
fill fftv

but this gives amplitude in terms of depths vs frequencies.
My interest is to make a fill plot in terms of depth and period, instead of frequencies.

I could not succeed to regrid it in days.

Is it possible to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance
