RE: [ferret_users] Graphics display problem...

Hi Bill,

Everything else X dependent that I have tried so far seems to work fine, including
xterm, xclock, xcalc, and other packages not beginning with "x", such as ncview.

xhost + [machine-name] seems to make no difference either.

I am not 100% certain, but I think xhost is correctly set up. The fact that all the other
packages I have tried work fine tends to suggest this is the case. Ferret must do
something differently to the other packages when it requests a display window.

Thanks,

Have you set xhost correctly? The message:

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server

suggests not. Can you open anything else X (xterm, xclock, ...)?Try:

(xhost + [machine-name]).
