[ferret_users] set mode journal & ferret 6.6.4

Dear users,

 I used to keep one line as below in my ferret configuration file to avoid ferret jnls spreading in different directories

but with ferret6.6.4 below command makes it hang has any one observed this? is it a bug or syntax got changed with new release

 sjo@sjo-laptop:~/pkgs/Fer_jnls$ f

  NOAA/PMEL TMAP

  FERRET v6.64  

  Linux(gfortran) 2.6.9-89.0.20.ELsmp - 09/16/10

this go on hanging??
