Re: [ferret_users] Missing arrow-heads

hello Ansley,
I tried as You advised me but still with no success.
The vector plot command is like this:
vector/over/title="WIND"/length=5/xskip=18/yskip=18 wlon[d=1], wlat[d=2],lon[d=3],lat[d=4]
I don't have any idea how to work around that issue.
Many thanks!

p.s.
I attach a graphic file.

 Hi Szymon,
I think that the arrow heads are being drawn but are too small.  The algorithm makes a choice on the length scale for the vectors and  that includes the size of the arrow heads, but for this case the default scale isn't a good one. In your example, the length scale that's used is 20. Try your curvilinear plot with a smaller value, say VECTOR/LENGTH=10, or VECTOR/LENGTH=5

I've attached an example I tried, where the plot that used a setting of /LENGTH=1 had very small arrow heads, and /LENGTH=0.5 draws larger ones.

Hi there,
It's an odd issue when I draw vectors (wind data) on curvilinear grid the arrow-heads are missing.
Everything is correct when I draw in rectilinear coordinates.
I attach files.
