Re: [ferret_users] Automatic labeling on all grid boxes

 Hi Samrat,
You could use the LABEL command inside a loop, or for a 2D plot, a nested pair of loops. The general idea is used in this FAQ,
http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/faq/labelling-dates-along-a-trackline

The FAQ is focused on how to create the date label, but the idea of putting labels at a set of locations is what you want to use.

Hi,

A fairly simple question. How do i fill each grid box automatically with the values of any variable. For example if x = a + b + c + d, then i may choose to do a fill plot of x but i would also like to label the values of say a and b in each grid box. Is using the mouse the only option in such cases? It becomes rather tedious if the mouse is to be used all the time.

i hope my query is easy to understand.

Thanks,
Samrat.
