Yogesh,
The FRAME/FILE=name.gif (in x-windows mode, not starting Ferret with
ferret -gif) just captures what's on the screen, so another alternative
would be to just do that yourself with the PrintScreen key and and
pasting into a free software program such as IrfanView (where you would
have to do just a bit to the image, such as removing the windows
border). Then you can save the gif image and use it as you wish.
