[ferret_users] dynamic modes



Dear Users,
                        I have been using a matlab script for getting dynamic modes from Brunt-Vaisala Frequency, pressure and latitude inputs and wanted to make a ferret script for getting the same results considering the easiness of handling netcdf files in ferret. In its implementation matlab script uses eig function of the matlab which is the only bottle neck I am having in its implementation. Eigen values are handled in ferret also in eof function but is there a way to get egen values and eigen functions directly from the ferret external function? Or is there any one who has already implimented the code for dynamic modes?
