Re: [ferret_users] How to draw a box to represent the regional-scale study areas in a field over a larger area?

Do you mean to cimple draw lines and boxes over an existing plot?
One easy way to do this is to list your points in a plot/vs command:

plot/vs/over/nolab/line=8 {115,120},{-30,-35} ! thick red diagonal line

plot/vs/over/nolab/line=10 {135,140,140,135,135}, {-32,-32,-36,-36,-32} ! thick blue box

Or do you want to blank out the filled areas outside the region? Then use masking. It's in the documentation.

Dear Ferret users,

Could you please let me know how to draw a box to represent the regional-scale study areas in a field over a larger area?

More specifically, for example, I want a ferret plot for areas: (1) Southwest Western Australia (SWWA, southwest of the line joining 30° S, 115°E and 35°S,120°E); (2) South Australia (SA, the box area bounded by 32°-36°S and 135°-140°E); (3) Victoria (VIC, the box area bounded by 37°-39°S and 143°-147°E), and then overlay it on a field (e.g., SLP in July 2009) over a larger area (20°N-60°S, 80-180°E)?

Thanks for your help.
