[ferret_users] picking up 5 day data

Dear ferretters,

I am encountering the following strange error. I have 8 years data with me for which I have created a descripter file. I would like to pickup the data on every 5th day and put it in a separate file.

list/l=1:2914:5 save/file=test.cdf/append temperature[k=1] is the command I have used. In order to get about 585 time steps in the test.cdf file I am getting 1165 time steps as shown below:

Can anybody suggest me how to do it correctly and obtain 585 time steps as it suppose to be. This is very strange for me, earlier I didn't get such an error with the above command.
