Re: [ferret_users] Making the colour bar darker

Hi Ansley,
Thanks a lot. Both your suggestions are working well, pretty much what i desired. The letters do become very hard to read, but gets much thinner when i convert the output to ps/pdf format and so i needed the thick lines. Next i'll learn how to control the font size, font type and font colour of colour bar.
I had unsuccessfully tried to use the script bold.jnl a long time back and so it completely slipped out of my mind.

Hi Samrat,
What you are trying is working for me even on the lines that are used in the color bar.  So we can work on finding out what's happening there. Try adding "ppl pen,1,13" also. But first I have a different suggestion for you to try.  Before making your plot, run the script

yes? GO bold

The script bold.jnl, included with the Ferret distribution, sets fonts and text sizes for nicer output.  You can combine this with ppl pen commands, but I find those make the letters so thick that they're hard to read.

Hi,
I am using Ferret v6.1. When using the fill command, in order to make the axes as well as the xlab, ylab and title darker, i use the command ppl pen 0,13. But this does not darken the colour bar that appears on the right hand side of the diagram. How do i achieve this?

Thanks,
