[ferret_users] Correlations for single time slice

Hi,
   I am using Ferret 6.1. I wish to compute correlations. But the
script 'variance.jnl' seems to work for more than one time slice i.e.:

yes? let p = var1[l=1:2]; let q = var2[l=1:2]; go variance; contour
correl    ! this works

But,
yes? let p = var1[l=1]; let q = var2[l=1]; go variance; contour correl
   ! this shows 'no valid data'

Do i have to create a separate jnl file for single time step correlations ?
