[ferret_users] Specifying bounds and a map for each data set?

Does the <datasets> section of the xml files have a tag for specifyingbounds for the data set along with an image for the map? I'm using LAS6.5.2.1. I've searched through the online documentation and forum but Ihaven't been able to find this.
