Re: [ferret_users] Display problem

Hi,
Unless you tell what modification is done to the xorg.conf it is difficult to say what can be done for ferret. As far my knowledge goes only below change( high ligheted line) under section "Device". is required in xorg.conf for grads to work proper. If any thing else is modified your display may have got messed up.

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "Videocard0"
    Driver      "intel"
        Option "BackingStore" "on"

with only this change I have both grads  and ferret working with out any problem in both my fedora 9 laptop and redhat EL4 desktop
hope this helps,

Hi,
I am working on a desktop that has both Ferret and Grads installed. I was told that in order to stop the display of Grads from disappearing, in /etc/X11 a file called xorg.conf had been modified. But this is causing problems with the ferret window (it shows a blank screen if a window is opened over it). How to rectify this?
