Re: [ferret_users] how to combine files along Z axis

Hi -
You need to first define the desired output z axis, and on your first SAVE command, specify /KLIMITS=10 (or however many Z levels there are). See example 4 in this section - the example shows input data that's ascii and is showing how to convert to netCDF, so your case will be a bit easier, as you're starting from input netcdf.

Hi ferret_users,

I have many cdf file like a01.cdf, a02.cdf,.....
All these files are idential in x,y,t axis (grid)
except in z (depth) axis. Therefore these cdf files
are containing a horizontal and T at different depths.

Now I want to combine these cdf files into one
files so that x, y,z,t are easy to read. Does anyone
have any idea to do that? It is easy to do along T
axis using repeat /l=1:10
save/file=filename.cdf/append variables

But how to do along Z?

   Thanks for your time.
