[ferret_users] memory issue
Dear all,
I need to do some calculation for 500 time steps. My machine, 2GB memory,
certainly does not have enough memory to read in all the data and do the
calculation. So I use repeat/l=1:500 (set memory/size=333; save/append
...) to do it for every time step. The "set memory" has catched data
released after calculation for each time level, and the memory use
according to listed info. by "top" is about 1GB. Still, I can only carry
on for about 18 iterations. The dumped core.* file is about 2.5GB.
Any suggestion on how I can get around this memory issue?
Thanks,
Dongxiao
