There are two syntax errors in the script:

1. REPEAT/RANGE=`year_start`:`year_end`:1/NAME=yr  (           ;\

(use "`" instead of "'")
2. continuation sign (;\) is missing at the end of each line.

If you strictly follow Jaison's scripts, you will get it right. Simply 
copy the scripts and try.
