Note that there is also a file bin/ferret_paths_bash_template in the
ferret distribution.  It already has the correct grammar for the bash
shell, all you need to do is fill in the right base variables.  As we
use bash at work I have created two scripts - ferret_paths.tcsh (the
original) and ferret_paths.bash, and the user can choose which one to
include in their login files.

If you need further help with the bash ferret_paths script let me
know.
