Re: [ferret_users] Colors for Landuse Categories

Hi Ashley,
This is an example that needs a palette of the type "by_value".  The topic of Palettes is discussed in the FAQ, How can I choose a good color palette for my plot? at http://ferret.pmel.noaa.gov/Ferret/FAQ/graphics/colorpalettes.html, which has links to other documentation that's available. In particular, look up "palette, by_value" in the on-line Users Guide. Let us know if you have more questions once you've got started trying this!

Hi ferret users,
I have landuse data with 20 different categories. I want to display the data with proper color for each category. For example, I want to use white color for
12th category (ice_cap/glacier) and blue for 15th category(Ocean) and so on.
How can I do this in ferret. Thanks in advance for any suggestion

Ashley
