Re: [ferret_users] DODS data reading

Hello Peter,

Sorry for late reply on this matter.

After yours mail I tried the link in the
browser then it shows something and not the
error.

BUT

if we try to read yours suggested url in
ferret (with '.ascii') :-
>

>yes? Set data
"http://g0dug03u.ecs.nasa.gov/dods-bin/nph-dods/datapool/MOAA/

MYD08_M3.004/2003.05.01/MYD08_M3.A2003121.004.2004136064318.hdf.ascii?
Optical_Depth_Land_And_Ocean_Mean_Mean[0:1:179][0:1:359]"

 Then the problem is from ferret, something
like :-

!++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
 *** NOTE: Internal err: unknown data type
 *** NOTE: attribute must be a string:
"units" in netCDF variable:
 *** NOTE: too many values in attribute
"scale_factor" in netCDF file variable:

.....................
..............
!++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think ferret dosent like the variables
defined in the DODS data.

Can any body help on this ?

Many thanks,
Yogesh
