Thanks for the report. This cropped up in v5.81 and is not an indication that there is any trouble with the data or with reading it - the data set is opened and dat is read correctly.  It'll be fixed in the next release!

whereas this message was not given for at least v570 and v580 – it doesn’t mean that it is a bug but certainly a different response. The first longitude is 0 and so the first bounds element is negative, possibly that is where the problem is.
