Hi Hartmut,

Thanks very much.  I now have 5.70 working.  I tried it without using the
RH71complib libraries ( something I should have tried before posting the
message!) and it worked.  5.80 complains about libgcc_s.so.1 not being
found.  And also it seems to require glibc-2.3.
