Re: label font

Hi Boyin,
As you've probably found, pens 7-9 will give a thicker line, but for
text colors, the syntax @Pnlabel only allows n to be one digit. That is,
if you do the command

yes? label/user x0, y0, 0, 0, .30, @p10Letter"

You will have the label "0Letter" on your plot, using pen number 1.
You can however use @Cnnn and get thick text using all of the pens
1 - 18. Here is a very thick black label:

yes? label/user/x0, y0, 0, 0, .30, @c013Letter"

Also, look at the script bold.jnl that's included with Ferret

yes? go/help bold.jnl

for some more ideas on getting bolder-looking text on your plots. Some
of the command lines in that script are commented out, but can be included
if you like; make your own personal version of bold.jnl. There is also a script
unbold.jnl which restores the settings made by bold.jnl to default values.

Dear Ferreters:

I have a subtle question on label fonts:

I am using
label/user x0, y0, 0, 0, .30, @pnLetter

to control the font (color and thickness of line) of
Letter.

I can use p1 to p9, but unable to use p10-p18 which
effectively uses p1 by ferret.

Is it possible for us to write a big bold letter using
p13 (rather than p7), for example?
