Re: linear trend

Hi Janini,
There are a a set of scripts, regressx, regressy, regrdssz, and regresst,
so you can compute a linear trend for data on any axis. If you want to
put multi-dimensional data in one long list for a computation like this,
you can use one of the XSEQUENCE, YSEQUENCE, etc functions
to put your data onto an abstract axis in any direction. These keep the
data in the order in which it's stored in memory, that is, with X varying
fastest, then Y, then Z, then T. I'm not sure what you mean by "the
linear trend for the whole field"; this will determine what you use for the
independent variable when calling one of the regress scripts.

Hi Ferret Users,

Any body knows how to calculate the linear trend for the whole field and not just for a timeseries.

Thanks Janini
