  This maybe the same problem I've been having with gksm2ps - in certain
  situations it calculates the ps BoundingBox incorrectly. One work around
  i've found is to use ps2epsi to convert the ps file to an eps file.
  It seems that this recalculates the correct bounding box - this might 
  work for you too.
