Re: bug (?) in the -script commandline option

I ran into a similar problem using ferret  v5.53 in linux RH9 environment.

I was able to run the script using the memsize command line option
   ferret [-memsize Mwords]

like so:
ferret -memsize 100 -script myscript.jnl

Dear ferret developers,

I have a script that I want to run with

  ferret -script myscript.jnl

using Ferret v5.53 in linux. The first line of the script is

    set memory/size=100

The script works fine when used interactively, but with the -script
option ferret ends up in an endless loop, reading my ~/.ferret file
over and over and over again. If I remove the set memory line,
everything works well.
