Re: Sorting netCDF file?



Hi Gary,
	Just a thought but if there were not a lot of those files,
or if there were many but they had a similar structure, could you

1) ncdump the original file
2) edit the CDL file to add a sequential time axis 1,2,3,...
   and rename the faulty time axis so that now its a variable
   rather than a dimension/variable
3) ncgen to get a revised netcdf file
4) read it into ferret and use the sort function on the "time"
   variable to impose the correct time order then plot or
   regrid @asn to a corrected time axis
