Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the report -- this looks to be a bug in the
implementation of the "Cell Array" plot call for some shade
plots; this is to speed up shade plots but in this version is
only implemented for plots which are solely x-windows plots.
(So, for instance, it does not occur if you've issued a
SET MODE META, or in batch modes like "ferret -gif" )

/VLIMITS and /HLIMITS certainly should work with SHADE,
and we'll get it fixed!
