set reg using variables

hello,

Is it possible in ferret to set the region using variables? for e.g.,

let nlat =180
let nlon = 360
let ntime=365
set reg/i=1:nlon/j=1:nlat/l=1:ntime

does anything similar to this work? I need to use these variables many
times in the .jnl file.

any help is greatly appreciated.
