Windows version of FERRET
Hi fellow FERRETers,
After some tweaking, I have successfully run the windows version of
FERRET on my home PC. Using the netCDF files bundled with FERRET, I have
no problems - the tutorial runs fine and all the graphics look great.
However, if I use one of the netCDF files generated on my school AIX
machine, when I try a "show grid" or "shade" on a variable, I get the
following error:
**TMAP ERR: error 0
And it quits to the bash shell. I am using the environment variable
CYGWIN=BINMODE.
I can't find anything in the mail archives. Does anyone know why the
files I created at school won't work with the Windows version? Is it a
matter of some kind of conversion, or something more serious? I thought
netCDF should be more portable than this.
Cheers,
Linda
