To Andrew, Billy, Ansley and ferret users.

With regard to finding maxs and mins on a plot "Bullseye" does the trick
and, as Billy says, the maxs, mins can be put on as labels.

Although not a priority, a qualifier for the CONTOUR command to include
maxs and mins would still be most useful as a refinement.
