Hi
One can give the qualifier /COLOR=WHITE  on plot commands,
e.g.
VECTOR/OVER/COLOR=WHITE  uwnd,vwnd

There is also the (relatively) new /THICKNESS qualifier which
some may not have seen.   These are documented among other
places, in the on-line Users Guide, under PLOT/  in the
Commands Reference Chapter
