Hi Ilana -

A quick (untried) answer. Use REGRESST to find the linear least
square regression coefficients (slope, intercep). That will define
your best-fit trend line. Regrid that line to be the same shape as
your data, then subtract it from the data. That should be detrended.

Of course, as always, a couple or three plots of the results should
always be made to let the human eye see if it is reasonable.
