Hi Gary,

An internal error is an internal error ... it is Ferret's fault by definition.
However, V5.22 will be out in a few weeks and it has very substantial changes to
the handling of grids internally. It probably makes most sense to find a quick
work-around to your problem.

The chances are high that the problem springs from the particular variable
definition(s) you are regressing. My first suggestion would be

  1. save the data that you are trying to regress into a netCDF file
  2. cancel var/all
  3. USE your-saved-file.cdf
  4. run regresst on the variable in the file

Lemme know if that does the trick for you.
