Dynamic height field
Does anyone have a script/demo that shows how to calculate the dynamic
height field from T(x,y,z) and S(x,y,z) data (e.g. Levitus) ?
In principle this would involve:
a)calculating the density, (trivial)
b)the volume anomaly (also trivial)
and
c) making a grid with pressure as the vertical cordinate
and performing a double intergration of the volume anomaly
from a specified pressure level (P("at level of no motion"))
to the surface (P=0) in the pressure cordinate system.
The last part is not trivial....at least not for me...
Seems like the stuff that ferret was made for.....
