Is there something special that needs to be done to make ferret run on
Windows 98?  I've followed the installation instructions and have gotten
it to work on an NT machine but on 98 the DOS command window appears and
disappears so fast that I can't determine the errors. I believe there is
a message about the DISPLAY variable, but I've set this to 0.
