The command @Cabc goes through the pens to numbers way beyond those
covered by the @Pab commands. In your case the following should work I
believe (for an example):

ppl label 'labno', 'x1', 'y1',......, "@C013 F"

and use the standard "ppl hlabs" etc.. to size the label or whatever. Hope
this helps. The upper limit for the @Cabc commands is given in one of the
online documents, although I can't remember where,
