Navigeted Sidescan Image

This image was generated using SeaMARC I sidescan data. The cover swath width is 5 km. The data were collected in July 1986 by NOAA/ OERD. The picture illustrates the final product of a navigated sidescan image. The cover area is the Axial Volcano of the Juan de Fuca Ridge in the NE Pacific Ocean. The laitude range is 45^o to 45^o52' North and the longitude range is 130^o West to 129^o40' West.
