WECOMA Results - Axial Seamount Volcanic Event, January, 1998


WECOMA Instrument Deployments

Oregon State University's research vessel Wecoma returned to Newport, Oregon on February 16 1998 from a seismic event response cruise organized by NSF/RIDGE and NOAA/VENTS.

WECOMA deployed 8 OBH instruments and made 16 CTD casts. See final report from sea for details.

The map on the left shows the OBH locations as magenta diamonds. The CTD casts appear as red stars.
