A recent survey conducted by NOAA's Fisheries Oceanography Coordinated Investigations (FOCI) has revealed a well-developed northward flow into the central Bering Sea through two major passes. This survey is the first to depict continuity of inflow through the southern Bering Sea and northward along much of the continental slope of the central deep basin.
