1) Download the patch from ftp://ferret.wrc.noaa.gov/pub/las/patches/4.0/patch1
and
save it in your top level LAS directory. For instance,if LAS is installed
in /foo/lasxml, save it as
/foo/lasxml/patch1
2) cd to the top level LAS directory and type:
patch -p0 < patch1
3) Rerun the configure script:
./configure
If you don't have the patch utility installed on your system, you can
download an updated version
of the entire LAS distribution from ftp://ferret.wrc.noaa.gov/pub/las/las4.0.tar.gz
